Flow On Diptych

2022. Acrylic on Fused Plastic. 13X18cm.

I was raised by boat builders, navigators, merchant marines, and sailors. I’ve spent most of my life in a town that exists due to its proximity to water. From the indigenous people that first inhabited this land, to the millworks of the industrial revolution, to now, this water has a crucial role in the lives of locals. Located in Essex County, Massachusetts, I grew up alongside the Merrimack River and visited beaches alongside the Atlantic Ocean. Through this body of work, we see the beauty—the life within and the life we have because of the bodies of water around us.
